Installing the Shelly Pro 3EM meter

The meter measures at the grid connection whether you export. That is how Nem adom el knows there is surplus. Installing it is an electrician's job, about 30 minutes.

Water heater relay (and a contactor if needed)

Up to 2500 W the Shelly Pro 1PM relay (or the plain Pro 1) switches the water heater directly; for a bigger heater it switches a contactor, and the contactor switches the heater. The heater's own protection stays either way. An electrician's job, about 30 minutes.

Water heater with a plug: Shelly smart plug

If your water heater plugs into a socket, you need no relay and no contactor: a Shelly smart plug goes between the heater and the socket. No electrician needed, about 10 minutes.

You can do this yourself, about 10 minutes. You copy two addresses from your account page.

Setting up the car charger (OCPP)

If your charger speaks OCPP 1.6J, you change one address in the charger's app. Check the compatibility list first. If Home Assistant or another system already controls the charger over OCPP, it can only connect to one at a time.
